1. Visa exemption (tourism)

Duration: 60 days | Cost: Free | Extension: +30 days (1,900 THB, ~£42)

British citizens enter visa-free for 60 days. Stamp on arrival. Max 2 entries/year since November 2025. TDAC mandatory 72h before arrival. Direct flights London–Bangkok: ~11h (BA, Thai Airways).

2. DTV – Destination Thailand Visa (digital nomad)

Duration: 5-year multi-entry, 180 days/stay | Cost: 10,000 THB (~£220) | Savings: 500,000 THB (~£11,000)

Designed for remote workers. Apply via thaievisa.go.th. Documents: remote work contract or self-employment proof, bank statements (500,000 THB min), valid UK passport (6 months). Each stay extendable by 180 days.

3. Non-Immigrant B (work)

Duration: 90 days, extendable to 1 year | Requirements: Thai employer sponsor + e-Work Permit (2025)

Employer sponsorship required. 4:1 ratio (4 Thai employees per 1 foreigner). Digital e-Work Permit since 2025.

4. Non-Immigrant O-A (retirement)

Duration: 1 year renewable | Age: 50+ | Finances: 800,000 THB (~£17,500) in Thai bank OR 65,000 THB/month income

5. Non-Immigrant O-X (10-year retirement)
